I remember the moment like a snapshot frozen in time — the day we found out my Dad had stage 4 terminal bowel cancer. It felt like the air was knocked out of me.
One minute, we were talking about everyday things… and the next, life was divided into before and after.
I was pregnant at the time — carrying his first grandchild. A little girl. What was meant to be one of the happiest seasons of my life became the most heartbreaking. I left work to care for him full-time. I didn't think twice. He was my rock growing up, and now it was my turn to be his.
Those twelve months were filled with quiet moments and raw truths. Holding his hand during the pain. Watching him smile through the toughest days. Feeling her kick while sitting beside him. Life beginning while another was slowly slipping away.
It was the hardest, most beautiful, most defining time of my life.
When my daughter was born, naming her middle name Andie — after him — was the easiest decision I’ve ever made. It’s my daily reminder that even though he’s not here physically, his love, strength, and spirit live on in both of us.
My whole world flipped upside down during 2024, but from it came purpose, clarity, and a deeper love than I ever knew possible.
This page was created with love, loss, and legacy in mind.
In October, we honor National Breast Cancer Awareness Month — but for me, this mission is deeply personal. I lost my Dad to cancer, and while his fight wasn’t with breast cancer, his strength, compassion, and unwavering support for the women in his life inspired me to take action.
This is more than just an event or fundraiser — it’s a movement. A way to give back, raise awareness, and create space for women to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Through our events, community, and fundraising efforts, we’re showing up for the women who are fighting, surviving, remembering, and healing.
Together, we wear pink — with purpose.
Please support me and my pledge to save lives and make a difference.
Every donation, big or small, will get me closer to reaching my goal. Together, we can stop deaths from breast cancer.
We have many ways your local business can be showcased at our event. Please reach out to Lauren via email or socials for more information!
